Typical Anxiety Attack Symptoms

If you have ever given a speech or maybe had to give a presentation at work, you will no doubt remember the feelings just beforehand. You probably felt a little nervous, just with the thought of it. As the moment drew closer you probably had thoughts of running away, that you had forgotten everything you wanted to say, the sick feeling in your stomach, the weakening of the knees, a dry mouth or sudden perspiration. These are all anxiety attack symptoms that occur for many people often on a daily basis.

Anxiety attacks are probably something that many people have experienced, even if they were not always aware of it.A person's dread of public speaking can evolve to fear of making telephone calls, speaking at conferences or simply interacting with colleagues, as other manifestations of anxiety attack symptoms. The increase in number and intensity of panic attack symptoms can cause serious relationship issues that affect a persons interpersonal life and career.

If a office worker is having anxiety related problems in the office, he/she may begin to feel anxiety attack symptoms when commuting to work. To avoid these symptoms, he might stop driving altogether. If he is questioned about his job when he is in a social environment, this can cause the person to begin to withdraw from social circles.

Pretty much everyone has experienced some degree of symptoms of anxiety. Generally, speaking in public is the highest ranked activity taken in surveys that causes people to experience anxiety attack symptoms. However, everyone is different and many people only have anxiety when faced with specific challenges. Typically it is a phobia that most folks don't enjoy such as spiders or public speaking or heights.

Of course, some anxiety attacks are worse than others. Along with the usual feelings of anxiety attack symptoms, crying, shaking and other external signs can be felt.  Simply seeing an image of the anxiety trigger, such as an insect on television, or in books or magazines, or even hearing someone talk about insects can cause anxiety attack symptoms in some people.

Patients who go through an intense, heightened level of anxiety report that the number and types of things that can set off anxiety attack symptoms seem to spiral out of control. It could be likened to an anxiety chain reaction where one thing compounds onto the other.

One thing often leads to another, and things tend to compound and worsen the situation as a whole. Anxiety triggers can often cause a snowball effect, leading to more serious problems with anxiety. A doctor or a therapist can help you deal with your anxiety attack symptoms.  Everyone experiences them to some extent but when they get out of control you shouldn't be shy or embarrassed about seeking help. Help is available and effective.
